Please Consider Supporting EFF

The EFF has launched a new fund-raising drive in an effort to expand its work protecting bloggers, including all of us LJ users.

The list of rights they believe we ought to have, and which are under threat, include:

• the right to blog anonymously


• the right to keep sources confidential


• the right to make fair use of intellectual property

Although much of this seems to be more important to political bloggers than to those using LJs as public diaries, I think it's something we all ought to consider. And, if you're the sort that includes charitable givings and memberships in your year-end celebrations, I urge you to put EFF on your consideration list.
