One of the best things is when other people tell you wonderful things about your kids. Not necessarily, but especially when you are tired/frustrated with them.

I keep telling myself, when I'm frustrated at lack of homework/other necessary but somewhat trivial thing, that in 10 years no one will care about that, but will be happy to encounter a kind, intelligent, thoughtful, well-mannered person.
