*nods* The last time I was in a long-term relationship that involved DV (as a teenager), my abuser reinjured my ankle several times in a row specifically to keep me from being able to evade him when he went into one of his dark moods. The day I limped in, I spent the next few hours in Judah's room with him shaking and telling him all about that. This is my first big ankle/foot injury since then. Posting about it then helped to the point where I haven't been freaking out about it this time, but the fact that Judah escalated when he knew I'd be largely immobile due to one of the things that's been very emotionally difficult for me in the past...
