Perhaps so. I've never experienced it, so I can't say. I will say that people who labor in obscurity and who aren't able to make a living through their art or what they love also feel pressure and stress and have high incidence of substance abuse, suicide, and other conditions. For many of them, money and fame are goals and markers of success. So, yeah, I did mean "despite" in the sense that having achieved those things did not relieve whatever struggle claimed Avicii.
