Apparently we're a TLA now

Sent to me by my dad, of all people. Apparently three-letter acronyms are better than words made by mashing up Greek and Latin roots. Who knew.

I've seen "consensual non-monogamy" used to cover polyamory, various sorts of swinging, and people who have casual sex with two or more people and make it clear that they're not being exclusive.

In that usage, polyamory means multiple *relationships*, not just (and not necessarily) multiple sexual partners. I hadn't seen it TLA'd, though.

I've been seeing "ENM" a lot lately (the "e" is for "ethical") but not so much CNM. They're both reasonable terms though. I'll allow them.

I hadn't heard "TLA" before, and spent a few minutes confusedly skimming the article for where it was used and what it might stand for before I realized what you were getting at >_
