I do not think it means what you think it means.

In this case the word is "menswear." I, foolishly, assume it means, well, men's wear. You know, clothing for guys.

Right, this would be men's wear for the man who wants "feminine fits and details". Clearly.

As you're no doubt aware, Mr. Irony, menswear in this instance refers to a style of clothing that is more masculine and tailored than more of the frilly frou frou things they expect women to wear. "Menswear-inspired" might be a better choice. It's a look this season, as evidenced by all the tweed and houndstooth and tailoring. But you're right. It is silly to call pink pyjamas menswear.

Believe it or not I didn't intend this to be ironic. I am, as I told bbbsg, so un-hip I need belt AND suspenders to keep my pants up.

I was originally browsing the site because it was called out as an example of a design style on one of my IxD lists. I figured "oh, let's look at something I expect I can judge the content of, namely menswear."
