Ask Dr LJ

OK, I'm new to this thing and I'm sure there are lots of functions I don't know about, but here's one I'd think was obvious yet I can't find it. Is it possible to find all comments that a person has made? Blog engines like Movable Type have these kinds of features but I can't find one here. Heck I can't even find my own comments, which would be useful for following ongoing discussions.

You can find all of your comments, or all comments on your LJ. You can't find all comments by someone else on other LJs.

Um, but that's only the most recent 50, not a long-term useful comment-searching tool.

Yeah. Long-term search falls back on keeping my comment notification emails.

I'm thinking that LJ does not allow for this.

I could be just talking outta my ass, though.

Most likely, one of the downloadable LJ clients would be more likely to have this feature.

(Again, I have no real clue what I'm saying, but it seems familiar...)

See what I mean? Talking outta my ass with no clue what I'm saying.

What I want to know now though is how did ckd know about that link? I've never seen it either!

I don't remember where I found out about it; it might have been from a discussion about one of the paid account benefits being that you see more comments on that page.

I heard about it word-of-mouth and I have it bookmarked because I can't find it just by surfing.
