... nobody I know needs directions for making your own flame-thrower. Because everyone I know who would want such a thing already knows.

i've considered making one as a giant supersoaker, actually. mostly because i live in an area sufficiently densely packed that i don't have good flamethrower space. :-)

Did you know that our younger ask for a flame thrower to light the fireplacce? He thought it woul dbe a useful thing to have and that if we didn't need it for the fireplace he could play with it and PRETEND to light things on fire.

For some reason, this made me think of Mythbusters. Maybe it's the fascination with how things work. Maybe it's the deliciously appealing idea of blowing things up or setting them on fire (inside a car perhaps?). Maybe it's just the manly geekiness of it all. Mmmm. It's enough to give a woman hot flashes.
