Oh OUCH!

Today K departed on his first overnight school trip. The school director sent out the following email:
The bus departed, and I'm happy to report all smiling faces and no tears. Our parents are developing real maturity and independence!

That is painfully true.
Letting go is really hard.

*grin* And now the school director has more or less forced the parents to show equal maturity and independence in the future. Smart!

Wow has the world changed. It was a big deal when I was in school to final reach 6th grade because you got to go on your first overnight fieldtrip. What are they doing on this fieldtrip?

6th Grade was ur first out of town overnight trip. This one is "local" in that couple of hours away thing. It's very earthy crunchy and they willbe doing lts of nature things as well as learning Native American culture and doing arts and crafts.
