First music entry, more to come

drwexNothing clever to say here. I like music, I share things. Hope you like them, too. Going to keep the entries short and there will likely be another music post shortly after this one, and then a special separate bit. More choices = more good.

I'm trying to remember how I found Valentino Khan, but whatever it was I bookmarked this. It's a bit more nu disco than my usual yet I really like how Khan has reworked the original "Pressure", which is much of a heavy track, to give you an entirely different take on it. I'm not totally in love with the result, but it's worth a listen.

Despite the name Funkstatik's "Reflections" is not much of a funk track. It's electronic and soul-influenced, with minimal vocals and downtempo beats throughout. I think of this as "rainy day" music, which makes it good for today as I'm writing and looking at the thick cloud banks over the city.

More Middle Eastern/Israeli music recommended by Maya Jakobsen. Here we have MASH and ITIOT remixing Maher Zain's "Mashallah". The original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vX3Dq1cIMUo) is a lovely romantic song with what I think of as typical Arab pop beats. The remix has much more driving dance beats and pace changes. It comes out as nearly a totally different tune. Like the Khan remix it's a matter of taste whether you like one version more than the other - I think both are pretty good.

Next up we have R3HAB's remix of Sofi Tukker's "Fantasy". The original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIjK17v9vj4) is a decent vocal house track; R3HAB's remix gives it a little more of a modern house-dance take. I like both and though I'm late to the Sofi Tukker fandom I'll be following them to see if they produce more interesting tracks.

While I'm doing vocal electronica I want to drop this one in. It's a bit older (from earlier 2017) but it has much the same feel as other entries in this set. Lika Morgan (who I just started following on Soundcloud) did the original "Feel the Same" some years ago, I believe for the "50 Shades of Gray" soundtrack so it's hard to track the original online.
