I lamed on the weekend and I'm not sorry

I let the fun come to me. Friday we had visitors, who came with chocolate. Add in popcorn, fireplace, and hot tub for several hours of relaxing fun. Good to catch up with people I see nearly never.

Saturday we did a few chores, played with the kids some, started on tax paperwork. Decided to punt on going-out plans in favor of curling up with wifey and watching a movie. More popcorn, natch. Also hot cocoa. The movie wasn't that good, but we got through it and then found other amusements.

Sunday was more kids, chores, and taxes until gamers came over. Some fun, some plot progress. Another mostly successful attempt at a diceless adventure. The d20/ADD rules don't provide a lot of support for diceless play, but there are a few things that can be done and the players did a good job of solving problems with their brains rather than with combat tactics.

Then I had to do bills this AM and... ugh. Just ugh. Confluence of factors and mis-factoring. Money stress sucks, what can I say. At base we'll be OK - I have a high-paying job and Pygment supplements. Just need to get over a rough patch.
