I'm not close enough to any of the OLPC people any more to have any privileged insights. But of all the write-ups I've read on the collapse, this one by Ivan Krstić, their former director of security architecture strikes me as having the most things to say.

Rumors say that they're going to restart the give-one-get-one under which some of us got our original XOs. The new product, dubbed XOXO, has been previewed with a claimed 2010 ship date.
