We're thinking about doing a restaurant meal for Thanksgiving this year. We'd like something:

- local (duh)
- serving late afternoon (probably 4ish?)
- kid-compatible but not kid- or family-style, if you know what that means.
- we don't mind dressing nicely but want to avoid someplace that will insist on neckties, especially for the kids.
- buffet style might be a good option

Anyone have experiences or suggestions? Price is not a factor in this decision.

My cousin, his g/f and there son used to go to Angelica's on Rt 114 at the corner of Rt 62, they seem to do a descent Thanksgiving dinner.

FYI, we are planning a Thanksgiving dinner of misfits "so to speak" at the new place. We were thinking a sweeties theme. Perhaps, L,S,W,P,k,l,J,b and A,S,L to attend. Those are the sweeties and there children etc, since we will have the space.

Check out The Gibbet Hill Grill (http://www.gibbethill.com/index.htm) in Groton. They're open on Thanksgiving, nice but not too fancy. They have a sister restaurant in Hingham called the Scarlet Oak, but Groton's closer to you guys.

And even in November the grounds are pretty neat to look at.
