Yeah, peripherally. But within the game, I'm rarely called upon to CDI in order to, say, get past a guard, or do some research.

I have sunk many many levels into "disturbing image"
it's fun.
it's one thing to get the players to lan back from you as you describe the eldritch chtuloid horror they have uncovered; it's quite another to get the DM and the other players to lean back, have the DM say "ok Rich; thats enough, stop talking now"
