Just sayin'

One of the ADVANTAGES of film over digital is that one is not able to be tempted to spend hours on the resulting images trying to improve lighting, remove bad shadows, hide obtrusive background objects or otherwise improve the image.

I think O-C perfectionists should probably not own digital cameras. Or at least have their copies of Photoshop confiscated.

EDIT: Plan B - learn to take better pictures in the first place so I won't have to do all this post-production work.

People who read certain popular-with-our-crowd Web comics via RSS feeds might have missed this so I thought I'd point it out. Sorry if it's old news.

As I do each morning I reloaded my "comics page" - a Firefox window with 10-12 tabs open to various web comics. On the Questionable Content page, I got today's Qwantz. OK, I figured it was a simple joke, substituting one comic for another. Until mizarchivist reported that, no, she'd read the actual QC via the RSS feed and what drugs was I on anyway?

I then noticed that the URL had been redirected to qwantz.com - cute. This reminded me that I have wanted to add that strip to my comics page so I created a new tab and went to load up qwantz.com... which promptly gave me xkcd.com!

Sure enough, attempting to load xkcd.com directly brought me back around to questionablecontent.com, which has an amusing note in the Twitter-like "what am I doing" box. Go read it if you find jokes of this sort funny. I got a chuckle out of it.
