Am I the only one who twitches on hearing the phrase "Work will make you free"?

I can tell my boss is in a good mood - he's hacking my screen and giggling about it. I'm glad he's in a good mood, but it's a wee bit annoying. At least he only sent my browser to I Am A Geek.com. My cow orker's screen got diverted to parishilton.com.

Speaking of music, there is no cure for being Rickrolled like listening to VNV Nation's Judgement. I got Rickrolled by, of all things, NPR's "Morning Edition", which did a story on Running for Office, XKCD Style. And felt it necessary not only to explain Rickrolling but to provide audio samples. Why they couldn't have described other references in the comic, such as to the movie 300, that more people would have understood is beyond me.

Which reminds me I need to send them a nasty note in re their coverage last night of the MIT security researching students. The story on ATC was pretty bad.

Wherever I have a computer system I keep a scratchpad handy. Usually it's just the back of some old printer output. I use these papers as a quick way to jot down notes of things I think of while I'm online. Little reminders, to-dos, and so on.

Some time in the recent past I felt it necessary to jot down the word "oblately". Discovering this fact just now I have NO idea why I jotted that word there. I mean, it's not one of those words that just gets tossed into casual conversation, yanno?
