The Guardian is also forbidden from telling its readers why the paper is prevented – for the first time in memory – from reporting parliament. Legal obstacles, which cannot be identified, involve proceedings, which cannot be mentioned, on behalf of a client who must remain secret.

The UK has always had Official Secrets and less rights of free speech than the US (there's a reason the First Amendment is there, after all). But this is, as the paper points out, sui generis at least in the modern history of Parliament.

Just in case anyone's lost: http://www.rhymes.org.uk/remember_remember_the_5th_november.htm

ETA: hat-tip to Mz Rowan for the update: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/8304483.stm
The update, which publishes the question in question, makes me wonder why the heck the gag order was imposed in the first place.

Lots of open tabs to close. No single theme here, but a lot of different styles of what gets loosely called "dance" or "dance hall" or "electro dance" music. All of which goes to prove how useless most such labels are...

Possibly there are people reading this who haven't heard The Crystal Method before, in which case this isn't the best intro to their music. It's dance/house, but very approachable and with more conventional song structures than a lot of DJ tracks. They've had a lot of commercial success, possibly related to the accessibility of their style but I don't hold that against them. They're a couple of guys having fun making music they like and along the way they've done a good deal to make dancefloor-style music known to a wider audience. The two tracks here are clearly cut and edited for radio play, but still reflect a lot of Crystal Method stylings and sample choices.

Andrew Weatherall is also in the "accessible dancefloor" category, though he's much more Europop/Depeche Mode and less trippy, at least in this track. If you wander over to his music site (http://twoloneswordsmen.com/music.html) you'll get a wider variety of styles; most seem to be the kind of harder edge male dance stuff I tend to expect to hear in gay bars.

Underhall - Digithall (Bestrack Remix). I can't find anything on these guys other than that they're French and they seem to pose a lot in leather, often with chainsaws and other power equipment. NMK, but I like their sense of beats.

Steve Nalepa (http://www.myspace.com/nalepa) is a synth-only DJ act from LA. His stuff is not bad, but nothing I'd write home about on its own. However, what we have here is a remix done by The Glitch Mob (http://theglitchmob.com/) who are a two (or maybe three, I can't be sure) remix team that have appeared in some big-name places like Lollapalooza. They take the original "Monday" track and turn it into a steaming hot danceable track by overlaying some beats, some vocal samples, and strong bass dubstep. You really should listen to this one; it's a winner.
