4^2 @ SoS ?

(How's that for an agglomeration of symbols that might have meaning?)

It's possible that I'll go to Somerville Open Studios (SoS) this weekend(*). It seems like this geographically scattered event is ideal for trying out some of the "find your nearby friends" social apps, of which I have a couple - Google Latitude and Foursquare (4^2). Normally I keep those off, but last year we accidentally bumped into ceo and his B while wandering around and enjoyed their company. If I do show up I'd love the chance to bump into (or at least know about) friends of mine who are also wandering. Would you run these apps yourself at such an event? What app(s) do you use, if any?

(*) Likely late Saturday afternoon/early Saturday evening.
