Every Frame a Painting formally ends

Every Frame a Painting is no more. That's been de facto true for some time and this essay is their post-mortem. It has several points worth reading in it. I am sad, but not surprised.
Ironic to read this not long after learning that Danny Elfman was hired to do the soundtrack for Justice League in part because the people responsible for that film saw their "Marvel Symphonic Universe" piece (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vfqkvwW2fs) about how formulaic and unmemorable movie music has become.
The impacts we have are beyond our ability to predict. I've always loved EFaP because they are so good at explaining things I see but am hopeless at explaining to anyone else. Comes of being professional film editors and spending a lot of time on the explanations, I guess.
