Things that make you go "aww"

drwexPygment has written about our date on Saturday, which was definitely the highlight of a weekend full of ick and sick and not enough sleep. Seriously, this upper respiratory virus thing is kicking my ass still and that could just stop. Now. Please?
But anyway, last night I was tucking in my elder (and really, it's pretty cute that even at 10 he wants us to tuck him in) and he's managed to tangle up his blanket again. In attempting to get it straightened out I say, "You've gotten this all cattywampus"(*)
"That's one of my favorite words!" he exclaims.
"Oh, really?"
"Yes, I love the sound of it."
And so I tuck him in while he's happily singing "Cattywampus, cattywampus! Catty, catty, cattywampus!"
(*) which is not at all how I expected it to be spelled. My pronunciation is more like "catty whumpus".
