Thank you both. I've spent a lot of time and mental cycles trying to understand and coalesce.
I am often reminded of Feynman's principle that if he could not explain something at a level understandable by a college freshman then he himself didn't understand it. I am mindful that my own children are both approaching that age and are participant-observers in this situation. I want to be able to give them good and thoughtful explanations.
