"[L]iving in any fantasy or science fiction world means really understanding what you're seeing and reading really densely on a level that a lot of people don't bother to read." - Joss Whedon, in his TIME joint interview with Neil Gaiman. Part One is online at http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1109313-1,00.html
I think Hollywood has decided it has had enough of the current administration. V for Vendetta is an obvious shot across the bow, but now there's a preview out for Good Night, And Good Luck and that simply cannot be a coincidence. V is going for the teen and populist crowd, and this is clearly aimed at the higher social and older age audience. I'm guessing much of the intended audience was alive during that period in American history; what scares me is the sense that many of them remember it fondly. Too bad the Dems are so badly adrift and useless as a national party.
