I remember being fourteen... I had super strict parents in many ways, and still a lot more freedom to wander around than you're describing. All us kids used to come and go at all the houses, and parents didn't really care. Things seem to have changed a lot.
At any rate, I'll remove my nose from your parenting decisions now.
