Nothing fancy or sophisticated here, just a handful of currently popular club tracks I've pulled off the podcasts I listen to...

Laidback Luke first put out "Rockin' With the Best" in 2007, near as I can tell. That makes this track nearly old enough to have a b'nei mitzvah and me to feel old. It's a decent rework by Keanu Silva, but mostly it's nice to hear the old tune again.

"Infinity" is a pretty standard club house track from TBR and Outrage. It's energetic without too much frenzy, and features the sort of big boosts and drops I associate with this style. The basic track is nicely varied and cries out for some kind of vocal-centric mashup.

Latin music continues to be some of the most interesting on the club scene, afaict. This has reggaeton overtones, and mixes both fast-flow vocal passages with instrumental bits. I like the complexity of the rhythms though I think this particular mix isn't quite polished - it appears to stutter on a couple of the transitions. Still, a very dance-at-my-desk piece for me.

Reza and JJ Mullor's "Magnificent" is more of a deep house piece than any of the others in this set. Samples from rap and a driving pace blend with the soul/funk sounds you expect from deep house.

Probably the best track of this set, Bassjackers and Twiig give us "Memento", a high-BPM track strongly infused with African sounds and solo piano in a fun bouncy mix. A really good pick-me-up for the current gray dank Boston weather.
