As I write this, the previous video about the history of the 12" single has been taken down due to a copyright claim (which is likely bogus and don't get me started on the current bullshit copyright regime) but I'm going to do more of them anyway because I love this stuff.

The story here is pretty simple - what's that sound (sample)? It turns out that one of the most popular, most-used sound samples comes from my favorite composer, just by accident. A guy had a record and there was this thing called a Fairlight and you should watch it because it's fun.
