Date: 2007-09-18 04:06 pm (UTC)I'm not saying that there's some kind of uebermensch status conferred on those within the five boroughs, but rather that there were a whole bunch of us (I include expats, here) who were wondering why the rest of the US was getting an order of magnitude more fearful than those to whom it actually happened.
