Another of the "must close tabs" moments. Herewith the "EDM is still EDM" assortment. I've been trying out a bunch of new artists to see who's doing interesting things.

Got this one off a Jacked Radio mix, or one-adjacent to it. This is Vintage Culture, Fancy inc (yes, that appears to be their name) doing "In The Dark". The tune is an interesting blend of house dancing standards with some downtempo effects and male vocal-driven dance pop styles.

DubVision has been doing some interesting dance tracks of late, including a great collaboration with Afrojack that I blogged last time. This one is what I think of as a "filler" - a short bit that DJs will put between longer tracks as a kind of bridge to keep people on the dance floor while they spin up the next popular bit. Nice enough, not much to write home about.

Dyro's "Free" is mostly a bog-standard EDM piece with some interesting vocal drop-ins from Babette. I keep wanting it to do more than it does.

I've been hearing "Never Let You Down" sampled for a couple months now, so I went and found the original. RMCM & David Shane did this track a few months ago as a summer pick-me-up track and it has good legs.

Another summer holdover, Kaaze's "Intuition" is probably the best of this crop. But I'm biased because I like strong female-fronted EDM and this is right up that alley.
