The weekend came to me

drwexI've been (to use my father's phrase) "getting in touch with my inner hermit" a lot lately. I can't tell if it's just seasonal, or a response to the massive stresses of the past few weeks. Whatever. But my life was vastly improved by visiting friends.
On Friday evening we hosted all three of the DMH residents for an evening of unwinding and pain relief in the hot tub. That was a lot of fun - Pygment had to leave the room a couple times because she was laughing so hard it hurt. Nice to catch up with the boys, whom I don't see all that often.
On Saturday, Pygment went out to party and taura_g came over to (ahem) keep me company. Since we'd missed our weekly date due to kids' strep and she's on the road for this week it was a wonderful gesture. We were both a bit on the tired side, but still managed. We're coming up on three years together this Feb and trying to figure out what we want to do to commemorate.
No D&D game this week, but my Sunday night WoW raid managed to do well again, despite some personnel turmoil.
The only down time was Sunday afternoon when Pygment was out and the kids were feeling cooped up and decided to take it out on the house, each other, and me. Unlike Saturday they weren't willing to take their rambuncting outside and blow off some of the steam. *shrug* We get by.
Looks like I'll be at Diesel again this week (Pygment's going out to a show later in the week) so if you want to see the hermit, meet me there?
