Is too complicated; let me sum up

drwexI can't seem to get caught up enough to write fully about the weekend or what's gone on. I'm just going to dump out a bunch of bullet points.
. Arisia mostly good. Let myself get dehydrated Friday; Monday was cancelled due to tiredness and suspected illness. Much good conversation, some shopping, panels went OK, parties good.
. Much thanks to the babysitting we did get.
. I took four rolls of film - the presence of many gorgeous women and cute children helped. But really I haven't touched my camera since Sept. There's a lot to say about this. Meanwhile, does anyone have an opinion on the Nikon D40x? (yes, I think i'm going to break down and get a DSLR soon.)
. The Illness Fairy has penetrated the cloaking device I installed and really come down hard. L has strep and diarrhea; I'd be stunned if K didn't have it as well. Pygment has bronchitis. I have ... something? Maybe just exhaustion as I'm not sleeping nearly enough.
. My father had his first post-treatment PSA and it's way down; this is a very good thing.
. My workplace processed over 750,000,000 trades yesterday. Three quarters of a billion, accounting for a bit over 6% of all US equities volume. That's a lot. It doesn't touch my work directly - at least not yet - but it does make for a somewhat tense and interesting work-week.
. We're hiring. I'll put the info into another post.

I don't know anything about the D40x in particular. However, I do have a D70s that I bought in 2005; I'd be willing to lend it out to you if you would like.
