When you’ve gone as far as you dare. And if you go any further, you wouldn’t be you anymore? You’d be the person who’d done that?-- Neil Gaiman, "How To Talk To Girls At Parties" http://www.neilgaiman.com/exclusive/shortstories/partiesstorytext

I'm in training. I'm bored
Jun. 19th, 2007 12:12 pm...so I post drivel. Sue me. If training gets out early enough I'll make an early Diesel appearance. The kids are well enough to be in school and wifey is off at work today.
On the form for this training they asked for food restrictions. I wrote my usual "no pig, no peppers, no nuts" and then added "no raw tomatoes" on the theory that I ought to avoid those based on the possible food allergy. Yesterday's sandwiches all had ham, bacon, or raw tomatoes on them. Today's lunch is skewers of chicken lumps roasted with onions and peppers. At this rate I'm fairly sure tomorrow's lunch will be something smothered in peanut sauce.
My weekend was another lost to illness. I'm fairly sure that Father's Day isn't supposed to start with a 6AM trip to the bathroom to hold one's son's hair back while he vomits. An hour of wrestling with mailman wasn't on the planned list, either. At least BiFTW (the tabletop D&D game formerly known as VPM) didn't suck. The party managed to plan and execute a snatch-and-grab mission more or less on spec with only one near-death.
Looking ahead to this weekend I see four overlapping things on Saturday of which I'll be lucky to make two. Between then and now I need to sort out at least one and maybe two schedule eits.
Someone let me know when the fun starts.
