Music, and that's what I'm talking about

Here's a shocking bit of news: DrWex likes funky remixes. According to Playmaker this guy's also from Canada. Who knew Canadians could rock out? The base level track is "It's Over" by another Canadian group called We Are the Take - their MySpace page is http://www.myspace.com/wearethetakeband. They're a friendly pop-rock quartet, but nothing from their original stuff leapt out at me as surprising.

I have also probably mentioned that I like odd mix combos. Here we have P.E. remixing themselves (for the soundtrack to the movie "He Got Game") in the company of folk-rocker Stephen Stills. It's a really odd combo but they do an excellent job of putting the two signature sounds together.

The most danceable of the trio is by the SF remixers with some of the WORST taste in MySpace page backgrounds, Pance Party. (MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/panceparty but don't say I didn't warn you.) I suppose that, given the cutesy band name, I shouldn't be surprised by much but I did find a couple of their mixes clever and good energy.
