What might possibly be the nerdiest mash-up before nerdcore became popular:

That is "Doctorin' the TARDIS" by The Timelords who later became The KLF and were much cooler. According to Wikipedia it mashes the Dr. Who theme (obviously) with at least three other tunes. Who knew!

Why am I talking about this, let alone linking to it? Well, Divide and Kreate (who is actually one DJ from Stockholm) listed it as his favorite mash-up ever in a Q&A on Mashuptown. If your mood is running more towards, say, speed metal, then try Danny Mei's latest, called "Red Hot Delight And Angers." As you can guess from the title it's based around a RHCP title mashed together with a hard guitar track by In Flames, yet another death-metal band from Scandinavia that you've never heard of nor had I, either.

Finally, I want to point to DJ Pet's LiveJournal. Mostly he posts his set lists and leaves it up to you to find the tracks, but once in a while he posts his own mash-ups, like this one called "People Are Still Having Hate Sex Around The World". It's a part-metal/part-fluff mix that hangs together surprisingly well.
