If the ongoing refugee crisis moves you

My annual bonus from work landed in our bank account. This has smoothed out some of the financial bumps we've been dealing with and I am motivated to donate. If you know my politics, you know I'm opposed to military intervention and generally opposed to arming any group in that region. But I do feel that the US is doing far too little, given our national resources, to aid the refugees.

My charity of choice in this case is Oxfam (https://secure2.oxfamamerica.org/page/content/syria) which is focusing on getting basic needs met: safe drinking water, sanitation to prevent disease outbreaks, safe shelters. If you are so moved, I hope you can find an organization doing good work that you think is worthy.
