I liked about 2/3 of O Brother, but could've done with at least an hour less of that film.

Remember the badness that was Race to Witch Mountain, which I went to
see for nostalgia's sake. It was utter juvenile fluff, complete with a "geek
con" written by some Hollywood writer who never got within shouting distance
of anyone with over 120 IQ points. I just stared, aghast, and said, "Good god,
this is what something like Arisia looks like to the writers?!"

I mean, I enjoyed the silly fluff for what it was, but there was no bread or
peanut butter to go with the fluff, you needed to bring your own spoon.

they were doing interesting things with sound & rhythm in the first trailer...it kinda distracted me from the content of the trailer itself.
