To get this joke it is really only necessary to know that people create visualizations of their World of Warcraft characters that are a lot more... fanciful than the graphics provided by the game.

Dramatis personae:
"Ellyanna" - a female priest played by a woman who likes to make risque' jokes on chat
"Snique" (aka Snique E Bastid) - me, in my snarky mode

Ellyanna posts her new avatar image, thus:

Dear Ellyanna

I think you have hitched your belt up a little bit too high in that picture and I worry that it may have affected your torso. Also, traditionally, a belt is used to hold in place a pair of pants or similar clothing item. Using it alone is certainly a daring fashion statement, particularly given the gravity-defying aspects of your physique, but I worry about what will happen when you take it off for your "Discipline."

Yours in fashion,
Snique

Dude, it is impossible to have a waist that small (#2) without a corset 2 sizes too small being cinched to the max... Yeah I see what you mean... But this does help explain the draw WoW has for some of my male friends (and female friends too). I've never gotten involved because I know it will suck out my soul and I will never see daylight again. (as a video game addict annonymous founding member)

I'd been avoiding the game for the same reason* as you. But my true love got hooked, so I'm in it with her. Daylight is unnecessary when I have her.

*Speaking as someone who once smashed a CD-ROM to bits as the only way to stop playing the game.

Yeah, my object of obessive twitterpation is a WoW addict, which means the end of my WoW free nights is probably coming soon. I can only resist for so long! So... when it's a downloadable application how do you proverbially "smash the CD"? I will probably need to know this information in about 2 months. :D

Thanks! I have a trial CD that I got with my new video card and I pulled it out and looked at it last night. But, I have a presentation to do in front of a local SQA association on Tuesday and I decided it's better for me to stay focussed.. So WoW might be my reward for making it through this presentation, but not until after Tuesday.
