The Red Cross has asked members and supporters to pitch in to their campaign to get schools to teach the Geneva Conventions and other "humanitarian law" treaties to which the US is a signatory. I think it's a very cool idea; the site has actual sample lesson plans and such-like.

Are we ever going to teach that one should adhere to what one signs, tho? I think this is just more fodder for "Laws? They are not for us, we just write them."
