Dear recruiters,

When you call me up to ask about a job and I say "Sorry, I'm not looking right now" please don't get snippy with me. I'm not responsible for whoever gave you bad data, or whatever bad day you're having. Yes, I do appreciate being told about openings that are relevant to my skill set but no I'm not going to leave this job right now, or even in the foreseeable future. Just because the economy is down doesn't mean everyone is automatically available so please rein in your sense of entitlement to my time and focus, particularly when you call me during work hours.

Much love,
--Me

This is second hand, and years old, but still....

Once, my company managed to annoy a recruiter. Something about not actually wanting to pay them in _advance_ of their finding a person. I learned about this because said recruiter cold-called me in my office. And then called the next office. And the next. If you knew how the phones were numbered you could see he was just incrementing the phone number. I thought it strange so I asked someone higher up and got the story.

Somehow, he didn't manage to hire anybody away.

Indeed. I've had 4 of those calls this week. Having a recruiter be bitchy at me when I point out that I no longer live in the DC area and my resume states outright that I don't want to work outside of MA/NH is a bit much.
