Wanted: gamers (one long-term, one guest appearance)

My AD&D game has recently lost a player and is seeking a replacement. I have a very slight preference for a female gamer, as it will help gender-balance the group (currently 2 female, 5 male gamers). Some knowledge of the system is desirable, but I'm more looking for someone into the role-play than the mechanics. Sense of humor and lack of prudery are required.

I also have a desperate need for a person to fill a "guest NPC" slot. The current adventure has a complex NPC that I'd rather not have to play at the same time as I'm doing all the other things. For this role I very much want someone who likes roleplay and back-story (MITAG, anyone?). Familiarity with the game mechanics is less important.

Game meets about every other Sunday, 1-7P.

We try to make game meet 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. If the month has 5 Sundays then we have an extra game. Sometimes games are rescheduled due to conflicts (like the GM being out of town) or not enough players for Quorum. The game has been going for 6.5 years and show no sign of dying any time soon. :) It's been a blast.

Hey Wex,

I might be interested in the NPC slot. How many sessions do you expect it to run? All my current games have gone into hiatus for the moment and I could do with a change of pace and playing with different group. I have a preference for political intrigue, mission planning and execution in my gaming. A good old fashion slug fest is nice to blow of steam occasional though :)

I have consistently failed to be able to predict the pace of the players in this game. My current thinking is it'll be 3 sessions or maybe 4. We should talk in some detail. When/where works for you?
