Involves flying cows, flaming police cars, and illegal immigrants. I'm tempted to say "Only in Texas" but then someone would find another story to prove me wrong.

I'm clearly missing something, because if

Seguin Police were out looking for those illegal immigrants. They parked their cars in the hot grass, burning two of them including that brand new 2006 Crown Victoria.

is supposed to (a) parse clearly or (b) explain how we got from the flying cows to the illegal immigrants to the flaming police cars, I don't see it.

I'm not completely clear on the connection to the flying cows except that the illegal immigrants passed the cops stopped on account of the flying cows incident, BUT, given the wildfires and drought in Texas it's completely clear to me how parking two hot-engined cars in a dry grassy field could TOTALLY lead to the grass catching fire.
