I have many things I wish to post about
Sep. 29th, 2010 06:48 pmComing out of the subway in New York I find myself walking up the street toward a woman, or perhaps she is walking toward me. She is apparently in her late 20s, and apparently completely sober. She is slim and very conventionally attractive. She's wearing a blue baseball cap with some logo or other on it, an oversized white un-logo-ed tee shirt with the sleeves artfully trimmed and the shirt secured at the waist by an oversized decorative belt. Below that she's wearing somewhat tight-fitting shorts or a skort that ends just above her knees. And on her feet... gray Wellies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wellington_boot).
WTF?

Date: 2010-09-30 02:59 pm (UTC)My on-reflection bet was that this was some kind of "walk of shame" outfit. I can imagine being overnight unexpectedly at a guy's house and scrounging around for something to wear home the next day.

In worlds where it is wet, boots without raincoat or umbrella is pretty standard wear. Keeping feet dry is quite important, btw..
