Our household has discovered a fifth fundamental force of the universe.

Along with electromagnetism, gravity, and the strong and weak nuclear forces there exists a fifth fundamental force that acts to prevent children from fully closing doors.

Names for this force are still being solicited. "Get back here and close that" is probably a bit unwieldy for a permanent name.
