Dave Wrangler (http://www.davewrangler.com/) turns in a smooth mash with Fresh Prince vs Gorillaz. Sadly, summer is definitely over where I am so the tune feels a little out of place, but it's still pleasant and rolls easily.

"Money for Rockafeller" is probably going to be one of those you love or hate depending on how you feel about the components. I like both the Dire Straits and the Fatboy Slim, and UK DJ Sam Flanagan (http://www.myspace.com/samflanagan) does a loving mix that respects both originals.

Since Dorothy Snarker saw fit to hat-tip to Pink today I figure I should put this out there. Pink ("So What" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJfFZqTlWrQ) vs Nena ("Willst Du Mit Mir Gehn" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3N7jewfjeE) remixed by Stef Konstan. I'm not a huge fan of Pink and from the picture Nena's not so much my type either. But, damn this mix is hot and yeah who gives a damn what my type is.

More of my idiosyncratic loves. Take a hair metal anthem (Quiet Riot's "Metal Health") and mix it with a modern cover of another 80's classing (Flo Rida doing "Right Round"). Sprinkle lightly with two modern pop divas (Ke$ha and Gaga) and hey that's not bad. I keep thinking I'm done with both Gaga and Ke$ha and people keep finding new and interesting things to do with them.

Last week I noted a Deadmau5 remix of a Burufunk tune. Since then I've been noodling around more of the original product by Curtis Fallis and this track is definitely one of his best. It's some extremely funky house. It's listed as his remix but I'm failing to find the original - anyone got a lead?

Tiesto - who is now apparently too cool to be just a DJ - is one of the biggest names and moving forces in house music in the past decade since he burst into public consciousness around 2000 by remixing Delerium and Sarah McLachlan. Here we get two tracks from his latest set of remixes, both of which feature the smooth blends and female vocal sounds that he's best known for. I keep hoping he'll do something radically different, but in the meantime I do love his style.
