Yeah, the cool part is that it's a real thing. Turns out there's a particular kind of Israeli scorpion whose venom binds to a particular cell type (glial, I think). If you have cancer of those cells you irradiate some scorpion venom, inject it into the person, and presto - cellular level radiation treatment.
