I just turned down a job (contract) offer. I have no other things even close to offering. I wanted desperately to get this one to line up time-wise with other things in hopes of having more than one offer to choose from. They wouldn't budge. Startups and their stupid timelines.
If I come out of the next two weeks with no job offers (and trust me, the dings are piling up even as we speak so that's quite a real possibility) then I'm going to eat my own guts out from the inside.
I like security. I like certainty and uncertainty gives me hives. I hate surprises. I like getting paid and paying my bills and being a good responsible provider. I am an Ant. Ants do not do these things. Clearly I've gone 'round the bend.
