I don't find him compelling either but I'll reserve final judgment until I see it en toto.

However, Bond is supposed to have extremely good looks. This guy doesn't cut it. I kept picturing Hugh Jackman as I watched the scenes and that made it better :)

That was my impression too. It looks like it could actually be a good film, rather than the usual formulaic two-hour procession of tired gimmicks and gags. I'll go see it.

OMFG, after years of vapid pretty boys, Bond is back! This looks much more like what Ian Fleming intended. I grew up on Sean Connery as Bond.

Especially with the logistics of getting to a 'big-screen' movie is now so entertaining! The trailer seems to present sufficent "Bond-ness" without looking over the top silly...
