Early music update

Here's something interesting, but outside my usual tastes. Maluca is a Dominican-identified New York dance electronica singer. Her page contains three mixes of the same song, of which I like the middle one best. It's VERY fast beat, and a lot closer to drum-and-bass than my usual selections. But worth giving a few minutes to if you want to expand your musical horizons a bit.

After this month of exposure I'm going to have to take back my comments about Canadians and music. Here we have another Canadian duo, this time producers of some very interesting remixes calling themselves Jokers Of The Scene or JOTS. These guys have a bunch of tracks up on RCRD LBL and you can just stream the whole set from the link above. I'm fond of the "We are Golden" mix that starts this off.

Finally, something much more mellow than the two above: Underworld doing a live performance of "Born Slippy". That track, despite being something like 15 years old, still provides material and samples for all kinds of artists, including here the Underworld duo remixing themselves.
