drwexOur furnace died last night. No heat, coldest night in a while. Yippee! Emergency repair got it working so we had heat through the night but there's no guarantee it will hold out. So I won't be leaving the house unattended until we know it's working properly. Which means missing an as-yet-unknown amount of what I was supposed to be doing this weekend.
Joy to the world.
On the plus side, at least it crapped out LAST night. Had it crapped out while we were away we might well have come home to burst water pipes and the associated mess.
ETA: 16 hours, $360 later it's fixed. I'll stop panicking any moment now.
