WTF body?

Saturday night: crashed out on the couch at my Dad's place. Slept fitfully. It's not a bad couch but it's not a bed.

Sunday night: crashed out at home in my own bed. Slept fitfully. Isn't exercise supposed to help you sleep better?

Monday: could barely stay awake at work. Got home, fell over unconscious around 6:05, woken up about 8:25 by child wanting to be tucked in.

Monday night: slept fitfully. Weird anxiety dreams, mostly. Woke up a couple of times with body saying "OK, had enough sleep now" and brain saying "oh, no you haven't, go settle back down". Eventually gave that up as a bad business about 5 AM.

Tuesday: at work, ready for a nap. Or something.

WTF. Seriously.

Mmm, anxiety-related sleep disruption. I wish I didn't know the feeling. Antihistamines before bed help me with that sometimes.

That sounds really crappy. Not getting enough sleep ruins pretty much everything.

Benedryl half an hour before bedtime might help. And if you use a computer within a couple of hours of bedtime, melatonin an hour before bedtime might also help. (Staring into the monitor's bright light cuts down on melatonin production.)

Sorry you're not sleeping well. Before using medication or supplements try stress reducing breathing exercises (http://www.chinese-holistic-health-exercises.com/anxiety-breathing-techniques.html). Also, a strong orgasm often has a soporific effect.

Depends. If your exercise was right before bed, then no. You're too wound up by the exertion. I'm going to guess you didn't do this, though, in which case, I don't know what's going on.

If it helps, I've been having weird dreams a lot lately, too.
