I don't suppose (local, kid-care)

There's anyone among my readership who'd be up for a few hours of kid-care at our place this Saturday night? Hot tub is working, kids are largely self-sufficient and there's a show downtown we'd like to see.

I may be able to help out, what time? (I know there was a kid care email a while back, life has been hectic enough that I have not been willing to commit to stuff till close to the event)

probably 7ish to something like 11ish. It's an early show but I'm not sure how long they'll go.

Maybe, depending on the specifics. I have a car and plenty of deadline-critical writing to do; assuming that they don't need a lot of intervention, I could easily be the responsible adult in the house until you get home. (It's certainly something I have recent experience with, although the kids here are somewhat younger.)

For future, the kids are quite self-sufficient. Mostly they need to be supervised through about 15 minutes of standard stuff (teeth really do need to be brushed, not just chewing on the toothbrush; is that REALLY cleaning up your room, your floor is not the laundry basket). Then there needs to be someone in the house who can make decisions about whether a kid wake-up is a serious matter (in which case, call us) or not (almost always the case). So it's pretty low intervention at this age.

Okay. That stuff I can totally handle. On weekends, when I usually have car access, it'd be pretty easy for me to do this sort of thing.
