Perry has finally acknowledged a shred of reality and is dropping out, presumably to save himself another debate drubbing. He's endorsing Grinch, a near-meaningless act. Gingrich is supposedly closing the gap on Romney in S.C. polls and Santorum is sinking like a stone. ABC will air an interview with Mrs Gingrich which might or might not contain new bombshells. Regardless it's shifting the discussion from Romney's offshore accounts (yes, he finally admitted he's hiding money in the Cayman Islands) and back onto Gingrich's past infidelities - that alone will help Romney immensely.
There has to be _some_ way that Ron Paul can benefit from this. If Gingrich finds himself the focus of attacks in the debate and/or the interview contents really damage him then I may lose my anti-Paul bet. People who've swung to Gingrich I do not expect suddenly to swing back to Santorum. If Gingrich continues to be teflon-coated and is able to re-swing the story he could have a shot at beating Mitt; if not I can see Paul getting as high as 25%.
And just to make it historically funny, Iowa finally certified the winner of the caucuses there, saying Santorum won by a small handful of votes.

And in the end...Santorum comes out on top.
